This is the early planning stage of an app I’m building to bring more clarity and consistency to the way we give — the Tithing Tracker App. My goal is to make giving simple, transparent, and spiritually meaningful, while also tracking the growth of my finances as I put God’s Word into action.

Many of us desire to give faithfully, but tracking those commitments amidst busy lives and multiple income streams can be challenging. We often ask ourselves:

• "How much have I truly set aside this month?"
• "Am I consistently giving what I committed to?"
• "Where is my giving actually going?"

The Tithing Tracker App aims to answer these questions with ease. It's not just about managing money; it's about fostering an intentional approach to a fundamental aspect of faith. We envision a tool that provides both financial accuracy and spiritual peace of mind.

• TithingAllocation: This is how funds move into your TithingAccount. Whether you allocate a set percentage of each paycheck or a fixed amount, the app will help you automate and track these commitments.
• TithingTransaction: Every time you give to a church, charity, mission, or other organisation, you'll record it here. This tracks the outflow from your TithingAccount, keeping your records precise.
• Organisations: We'll help you categorise and track all your recipients – be it your local church, a missionary you support, a beloved charity, or any other cause close to your heart.

1. Allocate vs. Given Tracking: Clearly see how much you've set aside compared to what you've actually given.

To get this valuable tool into your hands as quickly as possible, we're focusing on a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that covers the essential functionalities. Our core entity set includes:

• User Management: Secure profiles and personalised settings.
• Income Tracking: Simple entry for your income sources and individual paychecks.
• Tithing System: The heart of the app – managing your TithingAccount, Allocations, and Transactions.
• Organisation Management: Keeping track of all your giving recipients.

What's Next? The Development Journey!

We've finalised our core entity models and their attributes, creating a robust database structure to support these features. This includes defining relationships between users, their income, tithing plans, accounts, and transactions. For instance, an IncomeEntry will seamlessly link to a TithingAllocation, which then funds your TithingAccount before a TithingTransaction sends it to an Organisation.

The next steps involve detailed UI/UX design, front-end development, and rigorous testing to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience. We're committed to building an app that is not only functional but also a joy to use.
